Vice President, Government Affairs

Stephanie Salmon serves as the Vice President of Government Affairs for the American Foundry Society. In this role, she represents the metalcasting industry interests before Congress, the Administration, and regulatory bodies relative to workplace health and safety matters, infrastructure, international trade, taxation, regulatory reform, and energy. In addition, she develops major policy initiatives, regulatory comments, testimony, action alerts, updates, and educational pieces on key policy issues affecting metalcasters. She also serves as the liaison and representative to AFS’ Government Affairs Committee and participates as a member of the Safety and Health Committee, and Women in Metalcasting.
Stephanie has over twenty-five years of experience in the government and regulatory affairs arena and has managed several trade association clients where she successfully developed and implemented complex legislative and communications strategies. She has successfully managed over 25 legislative conferences and advocacy fly-ins.
